Abstract

This study aims to provide guidance for Muslims in avoiding consumption practices that neglect the balance and sustainability of life. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach and literature review method, this research gathers data from various relevant literature sources to understand the concept of responsible and sustainable consumption from an Islamic legal perspective. The data collection process involves identifying, evaluating, and analyzing literature selected based on its quality and relevance to the research topic. The findings of this study indicate that Islamic law and ethics contain principles that can be applied to encourage responsible and sustainable consumption practices that not only meet physical needs but also consider ecosystem balance and sustainability. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of awareness and understanding among Muslims regarding responsible consumption, and provides practical guidance to address consumption challenges in the modern era. These findings are expected to significantly contribute to the development of better consumption policies and practices within Muslim communities, as well as offer new insights that can be used to promote ethical consumption and sustainability in Islam.
