Literature and Quranic Exegesis: Exploring Literary Aspects in Modern Interpretation

This study aims to analyze the literary style, narrative structure, intertextual interpretation, and creative imagination in contemporary Quranic exegesis. Using a qualitative approach, it provides an in-depth explanation of metaphorical interpretations of Quranic verses and examines the influence of literature on readers' imagination and gender perspectives. The research method employed is library research, involving reading, noting, identifying, and comprehensively analyzing literary criticism of contemporary exegesis. The results indicate that literary aspects, such as metaphors, symbolism, and rhetoric, play a significant role in interpreting the Quran, significantly influencing readers' understanding and imagination. The study also finds that literary interpretation helps convey the Quran's messages more effectively and relevantly within the current social and cultural context. In conclusion, literary analysis in contemporary Quranic exegesis not only enriches the understanding of the text but also opens up space for more inclusive and dynamic interpretations, making the Quran more relevant to modern readers.
